I found it a litle 'strange' reading both the review and some of the comments because in my novel "Mr Alexander", I touched on the theme of Jamaicans who emigrate to the USA and their superior attitude to those Jamaicans who immigrate to the UK. I look forward to comments on that in due course.

Michael has displayed a whole heap a talent. I am very impressed at how he managed to maintain the rhythm and not compromise the rhyming end words. I love the fact that he is able to use raw patois to create vivid images of the entire sporting event and did it in such a way that you feel like you are actually watching the race all over again. Michael, you did not miss a beat.

Please note that Nyam Jamaica is a collector's item that is available in bookstores in Jamaica and Barbados. For overseas purchases please to go to my website www.rosemaryparkinson.com where one can order/pay for a signed copy of this award-winning book. This website also provides the addresses of the bookstores in Jamaica where the book is available - and of course it can be found at both Kingston and Montego Bay airports. Any other queries can be directed to me through my website. Bless.

I agree with the writer that it is important for the seniors to leave some information about how things was when there were growing up in Jamaica. That's what Backyardlabrish is all about, 'Leaving a living legacy' from the people who lived it. I would love to have Ms Mittoo as a guest on my radio show. Hope she will get in touch with me soon at: backyardlabrish@yahoo.com
