Readers are being invited to vote for entries in the Writing Awards Competition (also called the Readers’ Choice Competition) for the Book Industry Association Of Jamaica’s (BIAJ) 2011 Writing Awards Competition.
The aim of the competition – to encourage public discussion of books and increase the visibility of the BIAJ National Publishing & Writing Awards.
Eligibility – authors must be Jamaica (born or naturalised); books must have been published between July 1, 2008 and June 30, 2010.
Categories
Best Children’s Picture Book
Best Children’s Chapter Book
Best Adult Creative Writing
Best Adult Non-Fiction
The list of entries in each of the categories above, can be viewed on the awards page of the BIAJ’s website – bookindustryja.com. The books are also on display at the Kingston & St. Andrew Parish Library (Tom Redcam Drive, Kingston 5), and are available for purchase at a number of booksellers including Azmart, Bookland, Bookophilia and Novelty Trading Co. Ltd.
