The public is invited to a book signing event featuring three Jamaican authors - Veronica Carnegie (The Tie Came Back), Hazel Campbell (Bernie & The Captain’s Ghost) and Diane Browne (The Ring & The Roaring Water). The signing is being hosted by Things Jamaican as an in-store promotion, and takes place on Saturday, June 26, between 12 noon and 4 p.m. at Things Jamaican Devon House, Shops 12-14, 26 Hope Road, Kingston 10 (corner of Hope and Waterloo Roads).
The event will not be a book reading, but rather an interactive session in which persons will be able to speak to the authors, purchase their books (which are on sale at Things Jamaican) and get copies of the books signed by the authors. The main purpose of this book signing event, is to bring awareness to the public about the existence of quality Jamaican stories that are written by Jamaicans, and also to encourage the support of locally written books.
